Hyper Foundation launched 21 Validator Nodes for Security

Crypto news today

The Hyper Foundation has grown its network to 21 permissionless nodes, and anyone can become a validator on the Hyperliquid network. The highest 21 validators by stake will constitute the active group, a major move towards increased decentralization and community-based security.

To further consolidate the ecosystem, the Foundation created a delegation program, which will be released in the next days. The program is designed to lure high-performing validators and make the overall Hyperliquid network more stable.

Joining the program involves a minimum stake of 10,000 HYPE, which will be frozen for one year irrespective of whether the participant gets selected for the active group or not. This guarantee ensures that committed validators only participate in the program.

The Foundation suggests beginning on the testnet to acclimatize to the delegation program prior to moving to the mainnet. Testnet performance will be a primary consideration in deciding mainnet delegation eligibility. Validators will also need to run two non-validator nodes with at least 95% uptime and publicly accessible static IP addresses. These nodes will be foundation points for the network's broader node system.

Also, participants need to undergo KYC/KYB processes and adhere to regulations. Participants from the U.S., Cuba, Iran, and other sanctioned nations are not permitted.

With this effort, Hyperliquid continues its purpose to create a safe, decentralized, and community-driven network. The Foundation invites dedicated applicants to apply and assist in creating the network.
